About the series
“Cloud Tourist,” Sean Robert MacPherson’s first solo exhibition, draws inspiration from Toronto’s skylines and land formations.
The pieces capture ethereal images of soft, moving clouds within the static confines of stoneware and glaze. Primarily wall-hung, these pieces emphasize pottery’s artistic merit and the vertical space clouds naturally occupy.
Inspired by Toronto and the GTA, the work evokes dreamlike landscapes. Ultimately, “Cloud Tourist” serves as an escape, inviting viewers to wander and drift through its cloud-like forms.
